Resident Aliens - Christian Reflections on Knowing Your Place In The World
We will be exploring questions of loyalty, allegiance and lifestyle in relation to class, culture, nation/state and planet.
Led by Doug Gay, Lecturer in Practical Theology and Emerging Church activist, and Lance Stone, Minister/Theologian and Dylan fan.

Art and the Freedom of Expression: . A fun packed and relaxing week exploring a variety of art media, giving importance to the learning process rather than ‘end product’. Involving group and individual work. Welcomes all ages, and no art skill necessary! Led by Caroline Jariwala, Visual Artist, Quaker, and Iona Associate.

The Holiness of Place
Where do we belong? Who are we? Alastair McIntosh, author and activist, will help us to get to grips with issues of spirit, land and identity, and will be joined for part of the week by Kathy Galloway, Leader of the Iona Community. This week is being held in partnership with Greenbelt; providing leadership and making community. Greenbelt Bookings from October and from the wider public from Jan 1st.

People, Prayer & Praise: creating and leading participative worship
A ‘how to’ week for folk who are interested in creating worship in the ‘Iona style’. Alison Adam and Pat Bennett will take us on a very practical journey, exploring how we shape, write and sing creative, participative liturgy.

Prayer Circle Week/Open Week: Join members of the Iona Prayer Circle in a week exploring different aspects of prayer using creativity and the arts. Led by Polly Burns, Iona Prayer Circle Co-ordinator.

Sexuality & Spirituality:
A chance for people of all sexual orientations to explore the links between sexuality and spirituality, both in history and in our rapidly changing world. Using discussion and creative media we move beyond labels to a position of being able to appreciate the gift of the erotic in our personal and public lives. Led by Ali Newell (team member at the Ignatian Spirituality Centre) and Peter Tyler (Senior Lecturer in Pastoral Theology and registered psychotherapist)

Pilgrim Church, Pilgrim People
An exploration of the theme of pilgrimage as it has been understood Biblically, historically and in contemporary terms. Why has there been such a resurgence of interest in pilgrimage over the last thirty years? As more and more people describe their faith in terms of a journey, Ian Bradley and Ray Simpson seek to discern the marks of a pilgrim church. Ian Bradley is an author, Ray Simpson the Leader of the Northumbria Community, and Kathy Galloway, Leader of the Iona Community, will be here for part of the week.

Weekend Taster - Come for a short taste of Iona and Community life. Arriving Saturday afternoon and leaving Monday afternoon after lunch.
An Iona Community Pilgrimage - A chance to engage at a deeper level with the people, the story and the present-day commitments of the Iona Community, both urban and island. The weekend will be spent in and around Glasgow, including the Iona Community Glasgow pilgrimage, before travelling to Iona for the remainder of the week.
