4th: University of NORTHAMPTON, 7:30pm, Montgomery Trust Lecture, given by John Bell, ‘Work as a Communicator through Music’.

17th: LIVERPOOL, Christ Church, Linnet Lane Evening, celebration of first phase of renovation in music and song, with John Bell.

18th: LONDON, South Wimbledon, Holy Trinity Church 7:30pm, talk by John Bell on ’Green Faith’, part of Lent lecture series.

21st-22nd: BELFAST, Fitzroy Presbyterian Church, Big Sing and workshops with John Bell.

24th-26th: DURHAM, St. John’s College International Conference on Scripture and Liturgy, keynote speaker John Bell.

28th: MILTON KEYNES, John Bell leads a programme of seasonal singing.

30th March–2nd April: WINDERMERE Centre ’Psalms for more than Sundays’, led by John Bell.

John will be working in North America 26th January–19th February, and in Finland and Sweden 6th–11th March.

Holy City Events

The 2008-09 Holy City programme concerns itself with the journey of discipleship, taking one aspect each month, pulling it apart in workshops and then putting it all together again in liturgy. (Events usually take place at Renfield St Stephen's Church in Glasgow.)

YOUTH EVENTS

2009 on Iona

STUDENTS' WEEK – 28 March – 3 April: A week for university/college students to engage with issues of life and faith.

YOUTH CLUBS' WEEK – 4-10 July: A week for groups of 11-14-year-olds and their leaders. A week of living, laughing and learning together.

YOUTH FESTIVAL – 1-7 August: A week for groups of 15-18-year-olds and their leaders. A week of fun and challenge with an emphasis on participation.

WILD GOOSE RESOURCE GROUP – 15-21 August: A creative and lively week exploring worship and music that changes lives. NB – book through the WGRG at Savoy House – 0141-332-6343.

The Youth Department in Glasgow continues its vital work with young offenders in Polmont Young Offenders Institute and its work in schools throughout Scotland.

The Dutch Iona group yearly weekend will be in het Doopsgezind
Broederschapshuis in Schoorl from 21-24 May.

Columba Day will be celebrated in Wageningen in de Doopsgezinde Kerk on 13th June.

From 9-11 October the Dutch Iona group will meet with members of
region groups and Dutch associates and members from the Iona Community in het Doopsgezind Broederschapshuis in Schoorl.
