Current Staff Vacancies - Iona Centres and CAMAS
Being part of the Resident Group at the Island Centres is not simply taking on a job - it is taking on a way of life, sharing in the Community's ministry of hospitality and a common life of work and worship.
Resident Group Members take on specific responsibilities for the running of certain functions within the Community, which encompass a range of skills and experience.
We ask that applicants be in sympathy with the aims and purpose of the Iona Community and recognise that living in community is not simply doing a job but sharing in common life responsibilities which includes welcoming guests, building community and daily worship where appropriate. If you are interested in applying, please read the Resident Staff Notes explaining practical details about life on Iona and Camas.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Iona & Camas Resident posts:
Resident posts are generally offered on a fixed term basis of between 10 months and 3 years. All posts regardless of the duties are offered at the same monthly allowance, plus full board and lodgings, and relocation assistance. A holiday allowance is also offered depending on the length of appointment as well as a generous pension provision.
Applications must be made using the Iona Community's application form. You may attach a CV to your application, but it is important that you complete all the sections on the application in full.
Many Iona and ALL Camas Resident Group posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and appointments will be subject to satisfactory Criminal Records Office check. Having a criminal record however will not exclude anyone from applying, or being considered for appointment.
Applicants who do not hold UK or EU citizenship, or are not otherwise entitled to residency/working rights in the UK, will require visa clearance for employment in the UK. You should check your entitlement for entry clearance with your local British Consulate prior to making your application.
UK Immigration Law means that it is not possible to appoint someone from outside the EU if there is a suitable candidate from the EU.
